Mediabase

Mediabase is a web-based project that has been running in beta for about a year now. In short, it’s an intranet website that allows the management of physical video and audio media in a traditional archive manner (i.e. Tapes on shelves!).

Modern solutions such as Apple’s Final Cut Server offer us a new way to manage our online digital assets, but for people like me working in dusty old museums, there’s always been a lack of tape archive management tools … so I wrote my own.
